Just a few words to thank you all for the outpouring of support.
Last Friday, after over 21 years, I was informed that my position at CHOM had been eliminated. Many of my friends and co-workers went home under similar circumstances and it has been a very difficult few days. To be honest, I’m gutted.
However life does go on, and things could obviously be worse. I will miss speaking to you very much and I can’t thank you enough for the support over the years. I’ve always appreciated how lucky I have been that you welcomed me onto your radio, not only listening to what I was sharing, but sharing your stories with me as well.
I am an incredibly lucky man that has the unending support of my amazing wife Jenn. She not only stands beside me, but also in front of me, as my greatest defender, ready to take on all of my pain. I will never be able to thank her enough. We have two incredible kids and a circle of family and friends that are always by my side. They have been, and will remain, the most important things in my life.
My career has allowed me to do many things that I will always be grateful for. If you love what you do, then its never really work. I do not know what the future holds for me professionally, but my father taught me long ago the importance of life outside work. I will most likely take some time away from social media, but when I do resurface, I’ll be sure to let you know, because I will truly miss talking to you.
Be kind to each other, choose to be happy…and thanks for listening.
