CRTC & IC DECISIONS

AM TO FM CONVERSIONS GRANTED
NB Caraquet 810 CJVA Move to 94.1 with 17,000 watts (28,000 watts Max. ERP).

TECHNICAL CHANGES GRANTED
NB Bathurst 104.9 CKBC Increase power from 20,000 to 33,500 watts.

OWNERSHIP CHANGES GRANTED
QC Gatineau 1670 CJEU From Fondation Radio Enfant du Canada to Radio Communautaire Enfant-Ado de Gatineau-Ottawa.

EXTENSIONS TO CP’S GRANTED
NL Clarenville 97.1 new Newcap has until May 9, 2016 to get this new 2,500 watt Hot AC station on the air. Local economic conditions are blamed for the delay.
ON Hornepayne 92.3 CBLH The CBC has until October 31, 2015 to convert CBLH 1010 to 92.3 FM.

AB Drumheller 99.5 CHOO Remove condition of license requiring that 10% of musical selections be folk and folk oriented.

CRTC APPLICATIONS

PROPOSED NEW STATIONS
NS Halifax 99.1 Commercial. 300 watts (355 watts Max. ERP). 72% Arabic / 28% Multilingial. Antoine Karam. Will partially simulcast CHOU 1450 Montreal. (reapplication)

PROPOSED TECHNICAL CHANGES
AB Athabasca 94.1 CKBA Decrease power from 9,000 to 7,200 watts. Raise antenna height. Relocate transmitter.
BC Pender Harbour 104.7 CIPN Lower antenna height. Relocate transmitter.
ON Kitchener 94.3 CJTW Move to 93.7. Increase power from 50 to 420 watts. Raise antenna height.

CALL FOR COMMENTS
ON Bracebridge 102.3 new Bayshore Broadcasting has applied for a new commercial station with 22,000 watts. The CRTC is not convinced that the Bracebridge and Gravenhurst area will be able to support an additional station and has issued a call for comments regarding the application.
